We are a group of 40+ volunteers who provide a transport service for people in Didcot and the surrounding villages so that they can attend their medical & other appointments.

DVC volunteer drivers provide transport in their own cars for local people who are unable to use public transport, or for those living in rural areas where it is not available, to hospitals, health centres, clinics and other activities.

DVC office volunteers
take telephone requests and make bookings for transport each weekday from 10.00 am to 12 noon (except Bank/Public Holidays)
There is an answering machine on at all other times.

DVC volunteer  trustees  meet 4 -5 times a year as a committee to manage the Centre. Trustees have overall control of the charity and are responsible for making sure it’s doing what it was set up to do.
